Rasna Dwadashakam Kashayam / Rasna Dwadashakam Kwatham is an Ayurvedic herbal formulation consisting of 12 valuable drugs led by Rasna. It is highly effective in combating Daruna Amavata (Chronic and complicated form of Rheumatoid Arthritis) which has become stubborn and challenging for other medicines. It removes pain and stiffness located in various joints, improves metabolism, cleanses the system of its toxins, enhances immunity and establishes smooth joint movements. It is also used to cure many Musculo-Skeletal Disorders (MSD) and soft tissue damages. It is also used in treatment of Gout (Vatarakta).

रास्ना शतावरी वासा गुडूच्यतिविषाऽभया।
शुण्ठीदुरालभैरण्डदेवदारुवचाघनैः॥
क्वाथः पीतो जयत्याशु आमवातं सुदारुणं।

Ingredients:
- Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata / Alpinia Galanga
- Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus
- Vasa – Adhatoda vasica
- Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia
- Ativisha – Aconitum heterophyllum
- Abhaya – Terminalia chebula
- Shunti – Zingiber officinale
- Duralabha – Fagonia cretica
- Eranda – Ricinus communis
- Devadaru – Cedrus deodara
- Vacha – Acorus calamus
- Ghana – Cyperus rotundus
Method of preparation:
- Equal quantities of the coarse powder of each of the above said drug is taken and thoroughly mixed
- 1 portion of the powder is mixed with 16 times water and boiled on moderate flame and reduced to ¼ quantity
- The contents are filtered and consumed hot
Dose:
- 30-50ml or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor

- Kati shoola – Low Back pain, Arthritis of Lumbo-sacral joints
- Uru shoola – Hip joint pain, Thigh pain, Hip arthritis
- Janu Shoola – Knee pain / Rheumatoid Arthritis affecting the knee joints
- Jangha shoola – Pain in legs, calf muscles
- Pada Shoola – Rheumatic pain in foot
- Gulpha shoola – Rheumatoid arthritis affecting ankle joints, Ankle arthritis
- Trika shoola – Lumbo-sacral pain, Arthritis affecting Lumbo-sacral joints
